The Church was built in 1865 and consecrated by Bishop Samuel Wilberforce.
The years have left their mark on the building, not only from natural fysical influences but also because of the impact of two world wars on the building.
Temporary restorations have been carried out in past years, especially in 1983, when part of our beautyfully ribbed vaulted ceiling fell down. It was replaced by an ordinary lightly arched ceiling.
You will be able to judge for yourself by the photos on these pages.
